• Con esta actividad el Departamento de Clásicas de la Universidad de Michigan quiere conmemorar y explorar el modo en que Traianos Gagos cambió y mejoró la enseñanza de la papirología.

• 16.00.- Keynote Addres. Teaching Graeco-Roman Egypt to a Broader Audience: The Legacy of Traianos Gagos, Roger Bagnall (New York University).

- 30 de octubre:

• 10.00.- Teaching Papyrology. Presentation of papers by: Todd Hickey (UC Berkeley), Cisca Hoogendijk (Leiden University), William Johnson (Duke Univesity). Moderator: Dorothy Thompson (Girton College, Cambridge University).
• 13.30.- Training Different Papyrologists? Roundtable discussion: What sort of trainings does the next generation of papyrologist need? How do online tools feature into this? Moderator: Roger Bagnall (New York University).

- Lugar: Forum Hall, Palmer Commons.

• 16.00.- Remembering Traianos the Teacher. Moderators: Jim Keenan (Loyola University) and Drew Wilburn (Oberlin College). Musical performance by tenor Nicolas Phan.

- Lugar: Keene Theatre, UM Residential College.
